Abner Gibbs Parent Teacher Organization

All parents/guardians of Abner Gibbs students and staff members of Abner Gibbs are part of the PTO and are invited to attend meetings and provide assistance, in any way, to the PTO and our Abner Gibbs community.

As listed in our by-laws, the PTO’s objectives include:

  • To enhance the educational experiences of the children attending Abner Gibbs Elementary
  • To encourage parents/guardians, teachers, relatives and friends of Abner Gibbs to support the PTO and its purpose in an active and constructive
  • To support teaching staff by giving volunteer assistance.
  • To develop better communication between parents and school faculty.

Notice of PTO meetings will be sent home in advance with your child. We typically meet once a month on Thursdays after school. We strive to have child care available.
